Perhaps this is a good basic introduction to cold reading, but it's so bland and lacking in specific techniques, that frankly, I found it to be of little use.
An honest advert

This doesn't actually tell one anything about how to do cold reading, but it does say a lot about what it is for and how it can help communication. Read it, and if you're still interested in learning more about cold reading, buy the book.

Very well written in simple, easy to understand language and will be of interest to all from the curious (me) to anyone wanting to get into the "psychic world".

Some years ago I sat next to a psychology student in one of Ian's Lectures. He told me that his tutor had told him that Ian Rowland's Full facts Book on Cold Reading was the definitive book on the subject - so I bought a copy and have never regretted it.
This "Simple Introduction" is just that but does act as an excellent overview of the subject, but for the full facts it is well worth buying Ian's book.

I already have the book which I purchased some time ago.
It has furthered my desire to find time to attend one of his live seminars.
