How To Go From 'Knowing' To 'Doing'
So you know a bit about cold reading. You know how it works.
But how do you get from that stage to actually giving readings? How can you practise? What's the best way to start?
I get asked about this more than I get asked about anything else. Almost every day someone writes to ask me for hints, tips and advice about how to start giving readings.
Now, for the first time, I have put together a simple step-by-step guide that tells you all you need to know. Read this book, follow the steps and you'll be giving readings whenver you want, whereever you want, more quickly than you ever thought possible. You will go from 'knowing' to 'doing' in next to no time!
This book does NOT teach you about cold reading theory -- it assumes you already know the theory (either from my book or other sources). This book is specifically about how you take your theoretical knowledge and start using it in the real world to give readings to people.
This is the perfect, easy-to-follow guide to getting started with cold reading. It's one thing to know about cold reading, but quite another to actually give readings to people (for fun or for profit). This book tells you how to cross that bridge and start translating theory into practice. It's all the best tips and best advice I can give you, in one easy-to-read booklet.

From theory to practice

As someone who had spent a lot of time learning about different "systems" for giving readings, I nevertheless felt ill prepared to actually start doing it for real. This book is the answer to that problem. The first section is devoted to adopting the right mindset (a refreshingly realistic view rather than blind "positive thinking") Later sections suggest scenarios where you might start to "dip your toes" into giving readings and also deals with the ethics of the subject.
Ian's writing style is clear, engaging and informative and, by the end of the book, leaves you with no excuses for not getting out there and giving readings yourself.

Another wonderful entry from the fertile mind of Ian Rowland. Flat-out superb in every way that could possibly matter to anyone interested in the art of giving readings. I'm a big fan of Mr. Rowland and his work, and books like this continue to amp up my level of enthusiasm. A must read---end of story.
